The community of Caledonia East Ontario was founded in the late nineteenth century by the amalgamation of two communities, the Riding Catholic Church and the Adventist Church ofendlessness. The people who settled here were primarily from the Riding Catholic Church who migrated to Toronto in order to be closer to their patron saint - St. Patrick.
